And I will give you pastors according to mine heart,
which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Jeremiah 3:15

The Rev. Elizabeth Simmons was called as our pastor in 2012. As our pastor, Beth works with the leadership of the church to serve our community, seek justice, and care for people wherever they find themselves on life's journey. Rev. Beth leads worship weekly.

Rev. Beth grew up in Pelham, New Hampshire and is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy. She received her with a B.S. in Communication Studies and Comparative Cultures from Alfred University. Beth completed her Master of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, where she received the Feminist and Womanist Preaching Award. Prior to being called as Associate Pastor at her previous church in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Beth served as pulpit supply here in Francestown (and fell in love with the town and church). Beth was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2010. She is passionate about understanding issues related to the most vulnerable and marginalized, especially relating to race, sexuality and gender, economic inequality, children, and environmental stewardship. Beth enjoys hiking, cooking, photography, sewing, music, and reading everything she can get her hands on. Beth and her husband Matt are parents to a blended family of five children: Evan, Evie, Conor, Rowan, and Robbie.
